Construction Safety OSHA Outreach (10 hours)
This is an in-depth OSHA certification course for the construction industry. Students will review the current OSHA standards in 29CFR 1926 and 29CFR 1910, which apply to the construction industry. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. The students will be trained on the following topics; Introduction to OSHA, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Fire Protection & Prevention, Electrical Hazards, Tools- Hand & Power, Scaffolding, Floors/Wall Openings/Ladders, Fall Protection, and Excavations. Students will also receive a certificate of completion from the Department of Labor, OSHA.

Industrial Safety OSHA Outreach (10 hours)

Students will review the current OSHA standards in 29CFR 1910, which apply to the industry. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. The students will be trained on the following topics; Introduction to OSHA, Hazard Communication, Ergonomics, Personal Protective Equipment, Fire Protection/Egress, Electrical Hazards, Hazardous Materials, Walking & Working Surfaces, Material Handling, and Machine Guarding/Lockout Tagout. Students will also receive a certificate of completion from the Department of Labor, OSHA.

Safety Management for Supervisors (one day seminar)
This course introduces the student to management principles required for effective supervision of safety policies in the workplace. The evolving role of the supervisor as leader, communicator and negotiator and disciplinarian is discussed as it applies to industrial safety. Job Safety Analysis, new employee training, infrequent job retraining and accident investigation is also covered.

Ergonomics- Managing Task Stress (one day seminar)
This course will familiarize the student with the concepts and applications of current Ergonomic theory. Discussion will center on work physiology, biomechanics, workstation design and controls. Students will learn to measure successful application of ergonomic design through improved acceptance of system design.

First Aid/CPR
This course will cover techniques required to handle illness and accidents in the workplace. Basic first aid techniques will be taught to train individual students to provide emergency treatment for on-the-job injuries and CPR.

Hazardous Waste Operations (Bioterrorism and Homeland Defense emphasis available)
This course is intended to introduce site workers, operators, handlers and other personnel at treatment/storage/disposal facilities or other areas, which may handle Hazardous Waste to comply with the OSHA initial 40-hour training requirement. HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations) provides basic knowledge and skills necessary to assist with various remedial operations surrounding a hazardous materials incident and utilizes a combination of classroom presentation and "hands on/simulated spill" field exercise. An 8-hour refresher course is also available.

Hazard Communications
This course provides with the information required by OSHA under the "Right to Know" Law. Topics covered are Employee and employer responsibilities, regulations, the proper handling and use of hazardous materials, Acquisition and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets, Written Safety Plans and Training required to comply with the standard.

Confined Space Entry/Respiratory Protection
This course provides compliance information regarding OSHA's regulatory training mandates to improve confined space safety and rescue procedures. Topics include the definition of a confined space, hazards and entry programs and permits required for confined spaces, monitoring equipment, lockout and tagout rules and regulations, personal protective equipment and respiratory equipment. This course also fulfills OSHA's training requirements on the need, selection, use and care of employee respiratory protection. It introduces students to the compliance requirements of existing standards and discusses the concept of respirator fit testing respirators.

Safety Committees
This course provides your safety committee with the safety management principles that they need to be effective. Duties, roles and expectations of the committee are spelled out, along with time saving tips and techniques that will make the safety committee an integral part of your safety program. Job Safety Analysis and accident investigation is also covered in this course
